Former head of NSS Artur Vanetsyan officially registered the  "Homeland" foundation

ArmInfo. Former head of the National Security Service of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan officially registered the Homeland Development Foundation in the State Register  Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the charter of the Foundation, the goal of the  "Homeland" is to promote programs aimed at strengthening democracy.  The members of the Board of Trustees are Vanetsyan himself, as well  as the head of the Department of Iranian Studies at YSU Vardan  Voskanyan and the head of the Department of Applied Sociology of YSU  Artur Atanesyan.

The resignation of Artur Vantsyan from the post of head of the  National Security Service became known on September 16. In his  statement, he noted in particular that .

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reacted rather harshly to the  fact that this statement was originally posted on the official  website of the National Security Service, even before signing the  corresponding decree on Vanetsyan's resignation. According to him,  being de jure director of the NSS, Vanetsyan, in fact, opposed his  Supreme Commander. "This means throwing epaulettes into the trash  bin," Pashinyan said on September 23 during his press conference in  Los Angeles. Vanetsyan, commenting on this statement, emphasized that  time will put everything in its place. For some period, Artur  Vanetsyan continued to lead the Football Federation of Armenia, but  on November 21, after a devastating defeat of the Armenian team at a  match with Italy during the qualifying round of Euro 2020 with a  score of 1: 9, he resigned.
