ArmInfo. Military technical cooperation is one of the important areas of Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership. This was announced on December 3 in Baku at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, referring to a statement by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that the Russian Federation and CSTO countries should stop selling arms to Azerbaijan.
"We are developing this cooperation in an absolutely transparent manner, in full accordance with the norms of international law, with the norms of the legislation of Azerbaijan and Russia and with full consideration of the balance that has developed in this region and which is important in order to maintain stability here," Lavrov emphasized.
In turn, Mammadyarov added that military-technical cooperation is always on the agenda of the Russian- Azerbaijani dialogue.
"It will be continued. There are certain interesting ideas in this area and as soon as the agreements are signed, they will be reported to the media," Mamedyarov concluded.
