ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan considers the story of the dismantling of the memorial plaque to the National Hero of Armenia Garegin Nzhdeh in Russian Armavir strange.
So, on December 2 at a press conference in Yerevan at the request of ArmInfo to express the position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with this incident, Mnatsakanyan noted that the Armenian community of Armavir announced that the commemorative plaque was dismantled in connection with the repair work.
According to Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, at the moment all this seems like a strange story, and more complete information is needed for comment. "The Armenian side is working on obtaining information. I would like to note that the commemorative plaque was installed on the territory of the Armenian church. The state and the church are separated. I will be careful in the comments. I would not want the issue to be developed in the context of violation of the rights of religious minorities," Foreign Minister concluded
Earlier in the media there was information about the dismantling of the commemorative plate.
