OSCE: Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will hold a meeting  before the end of this year

ArmInfo. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group issued a statement following a visit to the region on October 14-17.

The statement of Minsk mediators received in ArmInfo recalls the  summits held in Yerevan, Stepanakert and Baku.

The mediators also indicate that during their visit to Baku, they met  with the chairman of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh.   "In Nagorno-Karabakh, mediators were informed about humanitarian  issues by the local representative of the International Committee of  the Red Cross. The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan informed the  co-chairs of their recent conversation at the CIS summit in Ashgabat  and presented their ideas on how to advance the settlement process.   The co-chairs welcomed the prospect of adopting concrete humanitarian  and security measures to prepare the population for peace and reduce  tensions, "the OSCE said.

At the same time, the co-chairs reiterated the crucial importance of  the monitoring mission led by PRCIO, carried out in accordance with  its mandate and many years of practice. The co-chairs also called on  the parties to continue to fully support the activities of PRCIO and  its team and to ensure the immediate removal of any obstacles that  could interfere with monitoring missions.

"The foreign ministers reiterated their intention to meet again under  the auspices of the co-chair before the end of the year. The  co-chairs will soon leave for Vienna to inform the OSCE Permanent  Council and members of the Minsk Group about the results of the  visit," the statement said.
