ArmInfo. With the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the body of an Azerbaijani soldier who died during the sabotage of the Armed Forces of the Azerbaijan on September 23 was removed from the Line of Contact between the Artsakh and Azerbaijan Armed Forces.
As the head of communication programs of the ICRC delegation in Armenia Zara Amatuni said in an interview with ArmInfo correspondent, yesterday, at the request and agreement of the parties, the ICRC participated as a neutral intermediary in the operation to remove the remains of the deceased from the Line of Contact.
As ArmInfo previously reported with reference to NKR Defense Army on September 23, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan made an attempt to sabotage penetration behind the Line of Contact with Artsakh. Upon retreat, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan left the corpse of their soldier in a neutral zone.
At the same time, Amatuni informed that during September the representatives of the ICRC visited all the detainees as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The purpose of the visits is to monitor the conditions of their maintenance and their treatment, as well as to promote the creation of conditions for ensuring their communication with their families.
