ArmInfo. On October 1, the  visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani  to Armenia is expected. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia  Nikol Pashinyan, answering the question about what specific  agreements between the heads of the two states in Tehran began to be  implemented, announced this on September 16 at a press conference in  Vanadzor.

According to the prime minister, the development of relations between  Yerevan and Tehran is directly related to the geopolitical  conjuncture that has developed around Iran. In this situation, Nikol  Pashinyan continued, the implementation of joint projects is directly  related to the sanctions imposed on Iran, which impedes the  implementation of joint projects. "It is important to develop  relations with Iran, and not to spoil them with other countries," the  head of the Armenian government concluded.

To recall, Hassan Rouhani arrives in Yerevan to participate in the  summit of the EAEU Heads of State. .  The visit provides for the  signing of an interim agreement leading to the formation of a free  trade zone between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). An  interim FTZ agreement was ratified on June 10 by the Iranian  parliament.

The EAEU countries and Iran signed an interim agreement on the  creation of a free trade zone during the Astana Economic Forum on May  17, 2018. It is planned for three years and provides for the  establishment of an FTA on a limited range of goods between the EAEU  and Iran.
