ArmInfo. Newly appointed head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin presented the copy of her credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
As the Armenian Foreign Ministry press service told ArmInfo, Mnatsakanyan expressed confidence that the Ambassador will contribute to further deepening and expanding the Armenia-EU partnership.
The Foreign Minister spoke about the ambitious agenda of the reforms of the RA government, emphasizing the importance of EU assistance in their implementation.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues on the RA-EU cooperation agenda. In particular, the interlocutors touched upon the upcoming high-level mutual visits, as well as the roadmap for the implementation of the Armenia-EU comprehensive and expanded partnership agreement. The importance of taking practical steps to stimulate people-to-people contacts was emphasized.
An exchange of views took place on the joint development of the 2020 Eastern Partnership agenda. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia touched upon the preparatory work for the Yerevan conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership, which will be held on October 9.
