ArmInfo. OSCE PA President George Tsereteli in his interview to the Azerbaijani media did not mention the statements of the Armenian leadership. This was announced at the press conference in Yerevan on September 13 by Anna Naghdalyan, Spokeswoman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
According to her, this was also stated during the meeting of Tsereteli with the RA Ambassador to Georgia Ruben Sadoyan. In addition, today it became known that the Azerbaijani media edited their publications regarding the statement of the OSCE PA President.
"Tsereteli during the meeting including with the Armenian side reaffirmed support for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group, and also noted the importance of creating an appropriate atmosphere for the peace process," Naghdalyan said. She noted that this is not the first time that the Azerbaijani side is distorting statements by senior officials on the Karabakh issue, which does not contribute to maintaining the image of the Azerbaijani media, and contains elements of propaganda.
As ArmInfo previously reported, citing Azerbaijani media, OSCE PA President George Tsereteli called on the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to resolve disagreements and find a common language. Tsereteli assured that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict taking place in the South Caucasus is in the center of attention of the whole world, including the OSCE.
According to APA, the head of the OSCE PA allegedly expressed his attitude to the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan that it "does not pursue the goal of resolving the conflict, is far from contributing to the negotiations between the countries and traumatizes the peace process".
