NSS rejected motion submitted by David Sanasaryan`s defense on  suspending the criminal case against him

ArmInfo. The National  Security Service of Armenia rejected the petition of the defense of  the head of the State Control Service of Armenia David Sanasaryan  (whose powers were suspended in connection with the criminal  prosecution) to suspend the criminal case against their client.

"The NSS investigator rejected the substantiated and documented  request of my lawyers to suspend the criminal case against me. The  application was rejected on groundless arguments, one of which was  that the testimonies of 4 witnesses were not credible because they  were my subordinates, Samvel Adyan was also my subordinate, but his  testimony against me was not in doubt. There is little hope that the  prosecutor's office will be more prudent. There is no alternative to  lawful Armenia, " David Sanasaryan wrote on his Facebook.

To recall, in the case of tenders for the purchase of equipment for  hemodialysis, the NSS previously arrested the head of the State  Control Service procurement control department Samvel Adyan, the  chief specialist of the same department Gevorg Khachatryan and the  accountant of Zorashen LLC Taron Avetisyan. Later Gevorg Khachatryan  was released from custody, and a written undertaking not to leave the  place was chosen as a measure of restraint against him. According to  the National Security Service, Samvel Adyan, the acting head of the  procurement control department of State Control Service, together  with the chief specialist of the same department Gevorg Khachatryan,  having entered into a preliminary conspiracy on the basis of personal  interest, contrary to the interests of the service, using his  official position, during 2018-2019 illegally intervened in the  organized procurement procedures for the medical equipment necessary  for the Healthcare Ministry and a number of medical centers, aiming  to ensure victory in the announced tenders of the trade organizations  sponsored by them. Earlier, information was spread in the media that  the head of the State Control Service was involved as a suspect in a  criminal case against employees of the agency entrusted to him. A  recognizance not to leave was chosen as a measure of restraint. It is  also reported that a face-to-face interrogation was held between  Sanasaryan and his department employee Samvel Adyan. As noted in the  media, the authorities have already found a candidate to replace  Sanasaryan.
