Kocharyan: Yerevan has quashed all talks about Azerbaijan`s possible  observer status in the EAEU and CSTO

ArmInfo. Yerevan has  quashed all talk about possible membership or obtaining observer  status by Azerbaijan in the EAEU and the CSTO. On September 10,  Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan stated this  from the rostrum of the parliament, referring to concerns about the  membership of the country unfriendly to Armenia in the CSTO.

"Yes, indeed, at one time, Azerbaijani MPs voiced the question of the  intention to join the CSTO. But, I would like to remind another story  regarding the Eurasian Economic Union, because in due time there was  talk that Azerbaijan wants to obtain observer status in this  structure. Now all the talk about it has ended, and why this  happened? Because we closed this issue, in addition, the first  clarifications on granting observer status were made precisely  through the EAEU, and according to our requirements.  And today we  undergo the same procedure of granting an observer status within  CSTO. "Kocharyan concluded.
