ArmInfo.A scientific and adventure tourism center has opened in the Kalavan community of Gegharkunik region of Armenia.
According to a message received by ArmInfo, the event was attended by deputy ministers of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, as well as economies Lilia Shushanyan and Naira Markaryan, representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Armenia Dmitry Maryasin, Adviser to the Russian Embassy in Armenia Alexey Sinegubov, Deborah Grieser, USAID Armenia Mission Directorand other officials.
This science and adventure tourism center, contributing to the economic development of the Kalavan community and the effective management of eco-tourism, was created by the Kalavan Time Land Foundation, a Russian Federation-funded UNDP Integrated Rural Tourism Development project , and in partnership with the USAID-funded Advanced Rural Development Initiative "
The Scientific and Adventure Tourism Center is a unique place that aims to become a guide for the development of tourism in Armenia, while creating new jobs to improve the lives of local residents. Tourists will have the opportunity to relax in tents and hold meetings and important events inside the center.
