ArmInfo.Armenia's refusal to participate in the forum in Krynnitsa is due to pressure from Moscow. A similar opinion was expressed by ArmInfo, Chairman of the European Party of Armenia Tigran Khzmalyan.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan refused to participate in the 29th International Economic Forum, which is being held on September 3-5 in Krynnitsa, about which, according to the press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Anna Naghdalyan, the inviting party was notified.
"In our opinion, Armenia was once again faced with a choice, in view of the summit of the leaders of the EAEU and CSTO countries scheduled for October in Yerevan. And once again our leadership made the wrong and shameful choice. Our party is considering this issue in the context of choosing universal values, foreign policy and an ideological choice. In this sense, Armenia has made a major political mistake, which will very soon affect the economic situation and the financial and banking system of Armenia, "he predicts. Khzmalyan believes that this decision of Yerevan does not reflect the opinions and approaches of the freedom-loving masses of Armenian society. Moreover, such a wrong decision is made by the government, albeit indirectly, but declaring its own awareness of the causes of the April 2016 war, the geopolitical situation, in general. According to him, this indicates a conscious choice of the Armenian government. A decision that is impossible to forgive.
