Ayaz Mutalibov responds to Nikol Pashinyan, calling him a "political  amateur"

ArmInfo.The first president of Azerbaijan Ayaz Mutalibov answered the statements of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan regarding the fact that the same  way as Azerbaijan left the USSR and today no one considers it  strange, the autonomous region of Nagorno- Karabakh has withdrawn  from Azerbaijan.

At the same time, Mutalibov assured that according to the  Constitution of the USSR, Azerbaijan, like all Union republics, had  the right to withdraw from the Union, while autonomous entities did  not have such rights. "For me, the statement of neither Pashinyan,  nor anyone else from his clique has the slightest significance. There  are official documents of international organizations in which  Nagorno-Karabakh is designated as the territory of Azerbaijan, and  not a single international structure has challenged our borders.  On  the contrary, the world recognizes our territorial integrity, "the  first president of Azerbaijan said, haqqin.az reports.

At the same time, he noted that Pashinyan is "an amateur in politics"  and advised him to carefully study historical documents before making  such pathetic statements. "Azerbaijan entered the UN and other  international structures together with Nagorno-Karabakh, and this is  reflected in official documents. By the way, when Azerbaijan entered  the CIS, even Ter-Petrosyan (first president of RA - ed. note) did  not utter a single word regarding Nagorno-Karabakh. He, like all the  presidents of the CIS, recognized Azerbaijan within the existing  borders. So, you should not argue with a person who still does not  understand the etymology of this problem and is confused in his  statements, "Mutalibov summed up.

It should be noted that yesterday Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol  Pashinyan, speaking at the annual gathering of ambassadors, referring  to the Karabakh conflict, in particular, he said: "Everyone forgot  that there were 3 parties to the negotiations and, in fact, this is  the only internationally recognized format. The same way as  Azerbaijan withdrew from the USSR and today no one considers this  strange,  the autonomous region of Nagorno-Karabakh withdrew from  Azerbaijan, and this should not be surprising. If the President of  Azerbaijan makes aggressive, militaristic statements, similar  statements from Armenia should not seem strange. "
