ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia appealed to the National Security Service with a request to check information on corruption schemes in the development of the Amulsar field.
The head of the department of public relations of the RA Prosecutor General's Office Arevik Khachatryan wrote about this on her page on the social network Facebook "The Prosecutor General's Office sent mass media reports on offenses containing elements of a crime to the National Security Service, in particular, Facebook's social network ex-head of the environmental inspectorate Arthur Grigoryan and political scientist Hayk Martirosyan. These records were sent to the SNB to verify the circumstances contained therein. "- emphasized Khachatryan.
It should be noted that a protest rally against the operation of the Amulsar mine took place in Yerevan on August 19. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the protesters, however, the meeting did not satisfy the latter, after which Pashinyan actually gave a green light to the field's operation during a live Facebook broadcast.
In turn, the former head of the environmental inspection Arthur Grigoryan wrote that the main lobbyists for the development of Amulsar in the government are Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia Eduard Aghajanyan. Grigoryan accused them of putting pressure on the prime minister to invalidate the inspection reports issued by the environmental inspectorate. Grigoryan emphasized that the results of the examination conducted by the Lebanese company Elard are fictitious. The ex-head of the inspection notes that all this time the citizens of the country were misled, which is explained by the usual corruption scheme.
The same position was also expressed by political analyst Hayk Martirosyan, who, unlike Grigoryan, did not cite facts, writing only about corruption in the mining industry.
