Advisor to the RA Prime Minister: Pobeda Airlines wants to receive   the same benefits as RyanAir Airlines

Gyumri, the second largest and most important city in Armenia, is  unfounded. A similar point of view was shared by Hakob Jagaryan,  Advisor to the RA Prime Minister on Aviation, on his Facebook page.  

The adviser recalled that the Pobeda airline, operating not quite in  the status of a low-cost airline, announced the termination of  flights to Gyuri, starting the winter season. Meanwhile, according to  Hakob Jagaryan, the airline's justification for underfilling is  unfounded, and at least three options for the behavior of the  low-cost airline confirm this. Firstly, according to the adviser,  secrets in the aviation market cannot be kept secret for a long time,  and through some channels the airline's management became aware of  subsidizing flights to Armenia by the Irish airline RyanAir. Based on  this, the Russian airline also wished to take advantage of this  benefit. Secondly, the Russian air carrier would like to receive  similar benefits when flying to Yerevan. I. Third, what is the point  of selling tickets at a low price in the low winter season, when the  "hopan" season may open in the spring (seasonal earnings - ed.) <It  seems to them that they are irreplaceable. There are some  justifications, but more on that later. The shortage of aviation fuel  cannot serve as a reason for the cessation of flights, and then, they  were filled with only 3 tons of kerosene in Gyumri, which is how much  it was necessary to deceive the equipment meeting the standards, so  that the influence was so significant. . X on a viable rest, I am  sure, no need to explain, "- said the adviser.  Meanwhile, according  to the Victory airline itself, underfilling fuel is a serious threat   to flight safety.  

In the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia in response to a  request from corr. ArmInfo on whether steps are being taken to  identify possible offenses related to aircraft safety and abuse,  reported that from a legal point of view there are no grounds for  this. However, the department assured that the situation will be  studied, and if necessary, information about this will be provided.  

On August 6, Pobeda announced that it had suspended the sale of  tickets for flights from Moscow to Gyumri (Armenia) for the winter  period. It is noted that the sale of tickets has stopped due to  problems with the tanker at the Gyumri airport.
