Valery Osipyan refutes involvement of his previous in illegal  production of canned fish from Sevan whitefish

ArmInfo.We don't have any facts that the mother-in-law of the former police chief, Vladimir Gasparyan, was the owner of a company that produces canned fish from  Sevan whitefish. This was stated on July 24 at a press conference by  police chief Valeriy Osipyan, referring to the fight of the Police  against illegal fishing in Lake Sevan.

He noted that the preliminary investigation bodies are studying the  activities of this company. "Fishing and selling whitefish worries us  all, for many years the Police have been fighting against this  phenomenon, but other authorities are involved in this problem,"  Osipyan said.

It should be noted that the former head of the environmental  inspectorate Arthur Grigoryan said recently that one of the companies  involved in the sale and export of canned food from the Sevan  whitefish banned for fishing, Galilia, has been owned by the  mother-in-law of Armenian police head Vladimir Gasparyan Geghush  Galoyan since 2014 . However, in 2018, Geghush Galoyan transferred  40% of her shares to a certain Anush Mnatsakanyan.

And before that, this company was engaged not only in the sale of  canned whitefish in Armenia, but also exported them to Russia and the  USA. It is noteworthy, however, that in 2014-2017. The director of  Galilia LLC was Vahe Ghulanyan, who is currently the director of  Sevan National Park.

Former Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan himself has denied his  involvement in the production of canned fish.
