ArmInfo. Quite serious disagreements remain between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov to journalists after a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in Washington, commenting on the new proposals of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
"We still have quite serious disagreements. In general, I can say that the proposals are the same. For 15 years we have been seeing the same ideas, the same peace plan, "he said, Report.az reports. The minister noted that during the meeting, intensive and deep negotiations were held, adding that the co- chairs had provided additional documents for more substantive negotiations.
"There were some disagreements in the details, but as the saying goes, the most important thing in the discussions is the details. We understand the need to show more political will. The situation on the line of contact should not hinder the progress towards a declaration or peace treaty", he said.
