Armenian Parliament approved government`s report on implementation of state budget of 2018

ArmInfo. The Armenian parliament, at a meeting on June 20 with 94 votes for and 17 against, approved the government's report on the implementation of the state budget of the country in 2018.

Earlier, Finance Minister of the Republic of Armenia Atom Janjughazyan in presenting the report noted that objective negative factors for the Armenian economy, as well as numerous speculations about possible threats in no way affected the digital indicators of the state treasury of Armenia. So, according to the chief financier, despite the fact that the law "On the State Budget for 2018" GDP growth was planned at 4.5%, the actual growth was 5.2%. State treasury revenues in 2018 amounted to 1 trillion 342 billion drams, instead of 1.308.2 billion drams budgeted for 2018 (compared to 1,210.0 billion drams approved in 2017 and actual for the year 2016 1,135.9 billion drams). The expenditure part was less than the pledged figure of 1, 465.2 billion drams - 1 trillion 447 billion drams (1.360.1 billion in 2017 and 1.420.6 billion in 2016).  The forecasted level of the deficit / GDP indicator was to make 156.9 billion drams, in fact it was 105.4 billion drams. Taxes / GDP for 2018 reached 21% or 1 trillion 258 billion drams instead of 20.8% or in 2017. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance expected growth in the line of tax revenues in 2018 to 1.248.5 billion drams. Armenia continues to be among the countries with a lower debt burden.
