ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the head of the Russian state Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the Day of Russia celebrated on June 12.
According to the press service of the RA President, in his message Armen Sarkissian stated with satisfaction that the strategic partnership between Armenia and Russia and fraternal relations between the two peoples continue to strengthen, which is reflected both in the level of bilateral relations and in the framework of international organizations and regional unions. "I am convinced that friendship between our peoples will continue to serve as a solid basis for strengthening Armenian-Russian relations and expanding partnerships between our countries", the message of the RA President reads.
Armen Sarkissian wished Vladimir Putin good health and success, and the fraternal Russian people peace and prosperity.
The Day of Russia is an important national holiday of the Russian Federation, celebrated annually on June 12. Until 2002, it was called the Day of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Russia. This is one of the youngest public holidays in the country.
