ArmInfo. The rally from Armenia to Artsakh, organized in recent days by the Sasna Tsrer party, can be considered a failure, since it won absolute indifference of the people of Artsakh. Arshavir Gharamyan, an adviser to the President of the NKR, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
According to him, in some cases, the actions of party members even provoked outrage of the population, due to the violation of residents' leisure time by the participants in the rally. "Within four days, the organizers of the rally through various provocations did not spare their strength and energy, drawing attention to the artificial agenda for the accession of Artsakh to Armenia. But the fact remains that the locals did not join the rally and did not welcome it. I consider it important to focus on the provocative statements made by party members in the city of Askeran, near the home of the hero of Artsakh, Vitali Balasanyan, which do not correspond to the spirit of unity, moreover, they require harsh condemnation. The artificial agenda consciously or unconsciously causes a split in the society and humiliates the Artsakh people, "wrote Gharamian.
To note, the other day, the Sasna Tsrer party held a motor rally from Armenia to Artsakh, demanding that Artsakh join the RA as a region.
In turn, the press secretary of the Sasna Tsrer party, Gevorg Safaryan, in an interview with ArmInfo correspondent, said that this statement is not true. "The aim of our motor rally was the unification of Artsakh and Armenia. I don't think that our rally was a failed one, on the contrary, we talked with residents of Artsakh cities and villages, they also said they are in favor of uniting our two republics. Residents of Artsakh are unhappy that there are roaming with Armenia on the territory of the republic, as well as outraged by the presence of customs at the border. We are one country and we do not need borders, "Safaryan stressed.
The party's spokesman also noted that there are people in the two Armenian republics who are financed by outside forces in order to separate Artsakh from Armenia. "This agenda can proceed from the interests of a number of countries, but not only Armenia, therefore we must resist such sentiments," he concluded.
