ArmInfo. Citizens of Armenia and China with ordinary passports will be able to visit each other without visas. The RA government approved the draft of the relevant agreement for signing on May 23.
According to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Grigor Hovhannisyan, citizens of both countries without a visa can stay in Armenia and China for 90 days. At the same time, in order to prevent illegal migration, the parties undertake to quickly take decisions on abusing the visa-free regime in order to return them to their homeland. The conclusion of the agreement will make it possible to intensify bilateral trade, economic, cultural, sports, tourism and other ties. Currently, as the Deputy Minister noted, there are two agreements on visas between Armenia and China - one concerns Macao, and the second with the administrative district of Hong Kong.
As RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted, the document was developed and agreed upon during his recent visit to China. As expected, it will be signed during the upcoming visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister to Yerevan. Thus, as the head of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers noted, there will be a real opportunity to activate the export of Armenian goods to the Chinese market. In this context, it is important that the products of Armenian manufacturers meet internationally recognized standards.
