RA Prime Minister: No one has the right and cannot interfere in the  affairs of Armenia

On May 8, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference in  Yerevan, answering the question of whether the appeal of the current  and former Presidents of Artsakh regarding the second President of  Armenia Robert Kocharyan can be considered an intervention in  Armenia's affairs and whether this appeal will not affect unity of  the Armenian people.

In response, Nikol Pashinyan said that until the third President  Serzh Sargsyan answers the question of why the soldiers did not have  food, while the members of his family owned millions, he could not be  one with Serzh Sargsyan. "There are things that I can't talk about  openly, but I can't forgive. If I'm united, I admit that my family  can own businesses, but this is a crime," said Pashinyan, adding that  if the law admits, the logic of transitional justice should prohibit  such phenomena.

"The Armenian people are now united more than ever. Minus 4 or 40 or  100. These are their problems until they return the loot. The robber  with the loot cannot be one. Such unification is excluded, "Pashinyan  said.  Responding to a question about Stepanakert's intervention,  Pashinyan said that he did not think that the Karabakh authorities  had any opportunity for intervention. "In general, there is no power  on planet Earth that can interfere in the affairs of Armenia. The  authorities of the country enjoy the trust of the people.  There can  be no such interference," the RA Prime Minister emphasized.  To  recall, Artsakh's incumbent president Bako Sahakyan and NKR's second  president Arkady Ghukassian appealed to Armenian Prosecutor General  Arthur Davtyan to change the preventive measure against Armenia's  second president Robert Kocharyan on the eve of the 27th anniversary  of the taking of Shushi.

The message received by ArmInfo, in particular, states: "As you know,  every year on May 9 in Artsakh is celebrated the Victory Day, the Day  of the Formation of the NKR Defense Army and the Liberation of  Shushi. According to tradition, in the festivities in Shushi and  Stepanakert, among other guests all the former heads of Artsakh,  people who have made a significant contribution to the Karabakh war,  who were at the origins of the state and the army, participated in  the liberation of Shushi and achieving victory, considering the fact  that the first President of Artsakh, Robert Kocharyan is under  arrest, we ask you, on the eve of May 9, to make a decision to change  the preventive measure. We are ready to come up with any public  guarantees that will be necessary to release him from the detention  center and to keep him free during the whole trial. We hope that your  decision will become possible the fate of all three NKR presidents at  the festive events on May 9 in Stepanakert and Shushi, which  undoubtedly will be a signal of solidarity and unity not only for our  society, but for the whole world and the enemy. "
