ArmInfo. The Armenian company in the field of using the results of space activity of Geokosmos will get access to the data of Russian space remote sensing satellites (Earth remote sensing). This is stated in the release of the company <Russian Space Systems>.
During the visit of the Armenian delegation to the capital of Russia, an Armenian company in the area of using the results of space activities, Geokosmos, signed an agreement with the holding Russian Space Systems, which is part of Roscosmos.
Yerevan is going to use access to data from the Russian orbital grouping to process images for the Ministry of Defense. Agreements were also reached on cooperation in training and the exchange of experience and technical data in the development and implementation of final geo-information services.
Under the agreement, the parties modernize the data receiving and processing station located in Armenia. Moscow and Yerevan are also thinking about creating a joint structure capable of building instruments for Earth remote sensing satellites, as well as software and data processing services for space imagery.
The "Geokosmos" company is the leading operator of space activities in Armenia, and works closely with defense structures. It is also one of the companies that have signed an agreement on the production of EEU satellites.
