
ArmInfo.Director of the National Security Service of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan doubts that the former head of the Council, Mihran Poghosyan, has information that could threaten the national security of the Republic of Armenia if the latter is outside the republic. Certain problems may arise in connection with the stay of ex-minister Mikayel Harutyunyan abroad. Vanetsyan stated this on April 26 in an interview with journalists.
At the same time, according to Vanetsyan, for a long time Harutyunyan did not occupy the position of minister and during this period the Armenian armed forces had time to change a lot in order to eliminate possible risks in this direction.
Touching on the risks that corrupt officials like the former head of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of Armenia Mihran Poghosyanwill be able to leave the country without hindrance in the future, the head of the National Security Service said that only after the accusation is brought against a person can his right to free movement be restricted. "Even if we know that someone may be a suspected criminal, if we break the law during the investigation and do not allow him to leave the country, you will ask me - why don't you allow an innocent person to leave?>," Said Vanetsyan recalling that international law and the Constitution of Armenia ensure the right of citizens to free movement.
