Yerevan`s silence infuriates Ankara: Chavushoglu collapsed with new  accusations against Armenians

ArmInfo. Marianna Mkrtchyan. A wave of recognition  by various countries and municipalities of cities in the last days of  the fact of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, a heavy  burden fell on the shoulders of Turkey, which decided to recoup  through attacks on Armenia.

After the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Chavushoglu  attacked Italy, France and the president of the French Republic  Emmanuel Macron with criticism, and Armenia's turn has come.

The head of the Turkish diplomacy asked a rhetorical question as to  why Armenia does not withdraw its troops allegedly from "historical  territories", while forgetting, by the way or intentionally keeping  silent, that these territories, like all parts of Eastern Turkey, are  originally Armenian, and that they are firmly settled in these  territories due to the fact that they planned and perpetrated a  massacre of the indigenous Armenian population.

At the same time, he spoke about honesty, urging the representatives  of Armenia to be first of all honest with themselves in regard to  events in the region. "All international structures into which  Armenia is included, clearly record the fact of the "occupation of  Azerbaijani territories". Why is Armenia not withdrawing its troops  from Karabakh?" Said Chavushoglu, without naming any structure that  would recognize this fact.

As if by the way, the Turkish Foreign Minister suddenly recalled the  normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, while forgetting that it  was Ankara that failed to implement the Zurich Protocols, putting  forward preconditions. "We have clearly stated that we are ready to  open the border with Armenia on the condition of withdrawing troops  from "Azerbaijani territories"," the Turkish Foreign Minister said,  again noting that the normalization of relations between Yerevan and  Ankara did not initially provide for any conditions.

In order to further support the "younger brother", the Foreign  Minister stressed that any problem of Azerbaijan directly affects the  interests of Turkey. "Armenians speak about justice and at the same  time spread lies about a certain genocide. At the same time, official  Yerevan refuses to create a joint scientific commission to discuss  the events of 1915 in the Ottoman state," Chavushoglu said,  complaining that Armenia refused to create a commission that makes a  " bet against" and it allegedly does not have confidence in its  arguments. At the same time, Chavushoglu forgot about countless  actual evidence of the fact of the Armenian Genocide, more than two  dozen countries that not only recognized, but also condemned this  crime, and some countries even criminalized the fact of denial of the  genocide.

For more convincing, in conclusion, the head of the Turkish Foreign  Ministry hurried to appeal with baseless accusations about the  alleged presence of a large number of Armenians in the ranks of, as  he put it, KWP (Kurdistan Workers' Party) "terrorists" who are being  destroyed by the Turkish armed forces. At the same time, he did not  mention that the Workers' Party of Kurdistan has for many years been  fighting for the political rights of the Kurds in Turkey and the  creation of Kurdish autonomy within Turkey.
