ArmInfo.Armenia will assist Iran in overcoming the consequences of flood. This was stated by Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia Feliks Tsolakyan on March 29 at a meeting of the RA government.
According to him, yesterday he had a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, during which an agreement was reached on rendering assistance.
"We are sending assistance through the Armenian-Russian Center for Humanitarian Response. We will also send technical equipment, cars, rescue groups," the minister said, adding that this would not require a government decision, the decision of the prime minister would be enough.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan proposed resolving the issue during the day for speedy purposes. "We have to render feasible assistance to a friendly state ", - said Deputy Prime Minister.
To note, the flood was caused by heavy rainfall and started last week. The number of flood victims in the provinces of Iran has already reached 44 people. Because of the disaster in some regions of the country, roads are blurred, infrastructure and buildings are damaged, and there are problems with transport links. The disaster struck tens of thousands of Iranians.
