ArmInfo. At the initial stage, meetings with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev should not have a specific agenda. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this from the rostrum of the Armenian parliament, who should meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group during an official visit to Austria March 28-29.
"There should be a wide range of issues on which we simply have to exchange views. There will also be discussions within the framework of statements made earlier," he said, stressing that the Armenian side is negotiating with the agenda, which was defined at the joint meeting of the RA National Security Councils and Artsakh in Stepanakert. According to him, this is the platform on the basis of which the Armenian side will conduct the entire negotiation process.
Pashinyan also stated that during the meeting with Aliyev, he intends to raise the issue of involving Artsakh in the negotiation process as an equal party. At the same time, he considered that this would not be a change in the negotiation format, but only the restoration of its original form.
To note, during the meeting of the Security Councils of the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh in Stepanakert, emphasis was put on the issue of involving Artsakh in the negotiation process, on the need to clarify the six elements and the three principles of the Karabakh settlement.
