ArmInfo. Official Baku is intensively "breaking through" the meeting of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. A foreign diplomatic source familiar with the current situation told ArmInfo about this.
According to him, the Azerbaijani side is not the first time through information stuffing, trying to achieve organization of the Aliyev-Pashinyan meeting. "Moreover, as early as January, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov announced a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in February of this year, which did not take place. Today's Azerbaijan's party is extremely important to organize the meeting at one of the two levels above" a foreign diplomat added. Meanwhile, the official Yerevan has not yet responded to the statement of Baku about the preparation of the meetings Aliyev-Pashinyan and Mnatsakanyan-Mamedyarov.
To note, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on the results of the meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Paris on January 16 of this year made a statement informing that the meeting discussed the possibility of organizing a summit between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in order to give impetus to the negotiation process.
