ArmInfo. The Appeals Criminal Court of Armenia rejected the complaint of the Prosecutor General's Office and upheld the decision of the court of first instance to reject the request of the Special Investigation Service for the arrest of RA former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan.
Earlier, the court of general jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan rejected the application of the SIS for the arrest of Armen Gevorgyan. This verdict was appealed by the Prosecutor General's Office and partly by the defense.
To note, Gevorgyan is accused of bribery on a particularly large scale, money laundering on a large scale and facilitating the overthrow of the constitutional order.
Earlier, Gevorgyan was charged with obstructing the execution of justice in the case of March 1, and he was not allowed to leave. Gevorgyan himself does not recognize the guilt of the crimes incriminated to him.
