ArmInfo.Armenians from Syria, Iraq and other countries who have moved to Armenia are holding a protest action outside the building of the Ministry of Diaspora. The correspondent of ArmInfo reports this from the scene.
The participants express their protest in connection with the disbandment of the ministry. They have prepared a letter and intend to transfer it to the Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. Today, the Ramkavar Azatakan party also made a similar statement, which considers it inadmissible to disband Diaspora Ministry without adjusting the authority of this department.
To note, as a result of reforming the government structure in Armenia, instead of 17 ministries, there will be 12. According to the proposed changes, the Ministry of Diaspora will be disbanded, and its powers will be transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
