Vigen Sargsyan: The new authorities of Armenia continue the policy of  the Republican Party

ArmInfo. "I see an attempt to continue the policy of the RPA," Vigen Sargsyan told the first number in the proportional list of the Republican Party in an  interview with ''RIA, Novosti'' answering the question that he was  most worried about in the actions of the new authorities.

As for the quality of execution, it worries me a lot, because we see  not just an inexperienced team, we see a team of people who are not  prepared in principle for making government decisions, and each of  them heads a huge segment in the field of public administration.  There is a very high rating of trust in the head of government. The  personal rating of the Prime Minister is really off the scale, and  people have high hopes for him. I really want him to succeed, because  in the end the ideals he declared are noble - the welfare of the  country, new opportunities for young people. But, unfortunately, what  is happening is not entirely consistent with what is stated, and very  much of what is being voiced these days is a matter of serious  concern. For example, plans to reduce 150 thousand employees are a  huge figure; it is almost every fourth working person in the country.  This is a hasty decision - to cut half of the ministries in the  government", Sargsyan said.

He also assured that there are also no real results in the fight  against corruption. "So far, it looks like selective justice and the  fight against political rivals", Sargsyan said.  According to him,  there are also alarming signals in foreign policy. At the same time,  Sargsyan expressed the hope that the situation might be resolved.  Regarding the RPA program, he stated that there are a number of  issues that are fundamental for us, which will remain in the priority  of our political agenda. "This is a settlement in Karabakh, which  should ensure the security and the right of the people of NKR to  self- determination, its full implementation. This is our country's  defense capability, issues related to the army, security. The RPA has  traditionally played a key role in army building for decades.
