Acting  Armenian Defense Minister will not participate in the  upcoming elections

ArmInfo. And about. Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan will not participate in the upcoming elections and in the pre-election campaign. This was stated by  Tonoyan himself in an interview with journalists.

"Considering the fact that the Armed Forces should not participate in  political processes, I believe that the participation of the Minister  of Defense in any party will not be entirely correct," the acting  president noted. Minister of Defense.

He added that he would not be nominated by the rating system, and  would not participate in election campaigning. "I will not  participate in the election campaign, as I must ensure that the Armed  Forces are out of political processes," commented Tonoyan.

Note that the early parliamentary elections will be held on December  9, 2018. The pre-election campaign will start on November 26 and will  last until December 7. Parties and blocks must submit their  applications before 6:00 pm on November 14th.
