


ArmInfo. Early parliamentary elections will be held on December 9. Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this was in an interview with journalists. "I think the president will sign the relevant decree today," Pashinyan stressed, adding that there is a preliminary agreement on this issue.
"These elections are not intended for the ''Civil Contract'' party, the elections are intended for the residents of the country and the decision will be made by the citizens of Armenia", Pashinyan said, answering the journalists 'question whether the elections will be held according to the old Electoral Code and rating system.
"Of course, I'm concerned about this fact, and I think that elections the proposed Electoral Code would be more political and would give the opportunity to a wider range of political forces. But I think we have all the possibilities to provide transparent and free elections, "the Acting Prime Minister noted, citing as an example the successful and free elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders, which also passed according to the old EC.
Nikol Pashinyan will not be nominated by the rating system. "I will be a national candidate," he said. On the question of whether the owners and businessmen of the ''Civil Contract'' party will be in the list of Pashinyan, he said: "Let the proprietors take care of their property."
