ArmInfo. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov calls on Armenia to prepare for negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
Thus, the Azerbaijani Mminister, in response to the latest statement of the Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that the Karabakh conflict is far from being resolved until the Karabakh authorities are not involved in the negotiation process, stated that Pashinyan is not making such statements for the first time.
"When making any statements, a person should think about what he is saying. First of all, there are documents. You should familiarize yourself with the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group. This document clearly states that Armenia and Azerbaijan are parties to the conflict, and negotiations are ongoing between the two these countries. As for the Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh, it is an interested party. If so, the presence of the Azerbaijani community should also be taken into account, "Mammadyarov told journalists on October 25.
Yesterday, Pashinyan stated that in the issue of resolving the Karabakh conflict, secret solutions are excluded. According to him, the final word in the settlement process should belong to the people of Artsakh. "And it is the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic that should participate in the negotiations, because no Armenian government can solve the problem without the participation of the Artsakh people. As long as Karabakh is not involved in the settlement process, the problem will not be solved. I have the right to negotiate on behalf of the Republic of Armenia, but not the people of Karabakh, who do not participate in the process of forming power in Armenia ", noted the Acting the Prime Minister.
