ArmInfo. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia David Ananyan with humor refers to the rumors about his soon resignation. On October 16, after the government meeting, David Ananyan said this in an interview with journalists.
According to him, there were no similar discussions with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about his possible resignation. There was also no dissatisfaction on the part of the prime minister regarding the work of the head of the SRC. Moreover, Pashinyan, like him, learned about the news from the newspaper. "I am humorous about this publication about my resignation, and I advise you to treat it similarly. And the discussions and meetings with the Prime Minister were purely working in nature around current issues of the Committee's work," Ananyan said. As for the possible reason for the resignation of Ananyan - the disappearance of the collected tax amounts - referred to by the media, the Chairman of SRC admitted, that he has no idea what amounts they mean. "How can the funds collected by the tax authorities disappear?" He asked, urging to share with him if there was any information on this issue.
The Committee, as Ananyan pointed out, works very transparently - it deals with tax administration and collects funds, including voluntarily transferred by taxpayers, which are presented monthly to the public.
Earlier in the media it was reported that the head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia David Ananyan may already be deprived of his position this week. "The reason is the disappearance of the collected large sums, as well as a number of other shameful facts, as reported to the head of government from the system. The uncompromising and harsh decision of the Prime Minister will definitely not be delayed, "the publication assures. Regarding the appointments of relatives of high-ranking officials within the Committee's structure, he noted that, in the first place, the appointments are guided by the professionalism of the staff, and not their kinship ties.
