ArmInfo. There are no sharp U-turns in foreign policy of Armenia, despite fundamental changes in the internal political life of the country, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in his speech at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to the Prime Minister, the continuity of Armenia's foreign policy demonstrates that Armenia is a predictable and reliable partner. "Our international commitments are not subject to revision, our position is clear: Armenia is ready for constructive dialogue and cooperation with all partners, we do not intend to develop our relations with one partner at the expense of the other. We attach importance to the role of multilateralism at the global and regional levels, " Pashinyan said.
Nikol Pashinyan noted that Armenia under the auspices of UN is involved in various "comprehensive and viable cooperation programs". This, as the head of the Armenian government pointed out, has special significance for the country, which itself has serious concerns in connection with security issues. "We are aware that the security of our country is closely related to the security of other countries and that the global world requires concerted action," he said. In this regard, Pashinyan noted that Armenia is ready to expand the humanitarian mission aimed at meeting the pressing needs of the Armenian community in Syria. "As a people who survived the horrors of the genocide, Armenians are very sensitive to the security issues of their loved ones and are ready to do everything to protect them," the Armenian Prime Minister stressed.
