ArmInfo. About 160 observers from the observation mission "Eyewitnesses" today on September 23 hold Monitoring in 80 polling stations in all administrative districts of Yerevan in elections to the Council of Elders.
The observers have received special training and will act in accordance with the rules of conduct of organizations carrying out the observation mission, providing objective and impartial information about the situation in the polling stations. A group of lawyers will advise observers, and receive alerts about violations.
Recorded incidents in election commissions will be sent to the administrative court, reports on electoral offenses will be addressed to law enforcement agencies. As necessary, information on the work of the observer mission "Eyewitnesses" will be published on the Facebook pages, as well as on the website www.transparency.am and www.asparez.am
The Observation Mission was established with the assistance of the National Democracy Fund, a public organization of anti-corruption center "Transparency International", the "Asparez Journalist's Club" and the civil initiative "Restart." Also at the elections of the Council of Elders, the Founders of the Observation Mission "Eyewitnesses" will be the Foundation for the Development of Rights and Protection.
