The nephew of the third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan Hayk Sargsyan, who is accused of attempted murder and illegal storage of arms and ammunition, will be released on bail in the amount of 50 million drams. The decision on this was taken today by the court of general jurisdiction, chaired by Judge Anna Danibekyan.
It should be noted that Hayk Sargsyan is accused of a case occured ten years ago, which was closed as the criminal and the motives of the crime were identified. However, on July 11 of the current year the case was resumed because of the new testimonies against Hayk Sargsyan. According to the materials of the case, Hayk Sargsyan on April 1, 2007 in the basement of one of the buildings along Tumanyan Street, where he lived, fired at David Simonyan with the aim of depriving his life, but did not bring the crime to completion for reasons beyond his control.
