ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stressed that without Armenia's consent the decision to grant Azerbaijan the status of an observer country or the status of a partner country in the CSTO can not be adopted.
In an interview with Kommersant, answering the question, what will be the position of Armenia, if Azerbaijan claims to be an observer country or a partner country in the CSTO, Pashinyan said in particular: "It is probably clear to everyone that without Armenia's consent such decisions can not be taken. All of you know the current relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and every day we hear threats from Azerbaijan towards Armenia, and because of this Armenia's position on this issue is obvious, I think. "
Clarifying whether this means "no", Pashinyan noted that he had already answered this question. To the remark that, however, the word "no" was not said, the prime minister said: "I think if Azerbaijan wants to achieve such a goal, it must first work on the settlement of relations with Armenia."
