ArmInfo. Our relations with Russia are of special importance for us and occupy a special place, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in his interview to the program "Zinuzh", prior to his departure to Russia.
In an interview announced earlier by PM Spokesman Armam Eghoyan on his Facebook page Pashinyan notes that the Armenian side wants to raise the efficiency of cooperation between Russia and Armenia. "We hope that the efficiency of these relations will increase significantly. Our relations should be at a much higher level, become more strategic, more partner and friendlier," Pashinyan said. He also touched upon Armenia's obligations to the Collective Security Treaty Organization, noting that this issue is of interest to all member countries. "After I had talks with the leaders CSTO member states it became obvious to me that they are also interested in this issue. First, we should raise existing problems so that we are aware of what obligations the CSTO has to Armenia, and what obligations Armenia has to the CSTO and the member countries, "the RA Prime Minister said.
Pashinyan's Spoekesman, in turn, wrote that in his interview the Prime Minister touched on the combat readiness of the material and technical capacities of the Armenian Armed Forces, mechanisms and possibilities for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian-Russian cooperation and activities in the CSTO.
