ArmInfo. The second president of Armenia Robert Kocharian intends to go to Germany for an annual medical examination, but so far there is a legal ban on the part of the preliminary investigation bodies.
"Currently, Kocharyan is in Armenia, and he intends to go to Germany for an annual medical examination, but while there is a legal ban on the part of the preliminary investigation bodies, the defense is now busy removing these obstacles," said Aram Orbelyan, the lawyer of the second President.
Orbelyan told the Armenian service of Radio Liberty that there is no preventive measure against his client, but his passport continues to be kept by law enforcement.
The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, is held as a defendant in the criminal case on the events of March 1, 2008. He is charged with the overthrow of the Constitutional system. In mid-August, by the decision of the Court of Appeal, Kocharyan was released from arrest on the grounds of immunity prescribed by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. However, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia appealed to the Court of Cassation for the purpose of reviewing the decision of the second instance court.
