ArmInfo. Extraordinary parliamentary elections in Armenia should be held at the latest in May or in the first decade of June 2019. This was on said by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Facebook broadcast.
At the same time, he noted that the processes for the most part will be conditioned by the political situation. According to him, today there is no mechanism for dissolving the parliament, but if society insists on this, then there will be a need to create such mechanisms. Pashinyan reminded that according to the current Constitution, the parliament is dissolved if the prime minister resigns and after that the National Assembly does not elect a new head of the Cabinet twice within two weeks.
"But the citizens of Armenia want certain guarantees that after the alleged resignation of the prime minister they would not be compelled to again take revolutionary action. Naturally, if necessary, Armenian citizens will make this revolution. I think we should have guarantees that no anti-people attempts will be made, "the head of government said.
