IC of Armenia: Data on possible use of violence against a citizen by Gagik Tsarukyan during the incident in "Olimpovan" are received

ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia initiated a case on beating in "Olimpavan" to the Special Investigation Service. Press Secretary of the IC of Armenia Sona Truzyan wrote in Facebook.

"As a result of the activities carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the incident that occurred in the Olimpavan sports complex, data were received about the possible use of violence against a citizen by a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan. Proceeding from the above, the decision was made to transfer the case to the SIS," Truzyan wrote.

Earlier ArmInfo informed that on the eve, late at evening an incident occurred with the participation of the Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia, the head of the Tsarukyan bloc Gagik Tsarukyan and representatives of the Boxing Federation of Armenia.  The incident occurred in Tsarukyan's "Olimpavan", during a meeting of the leadership of the NOC with boxers. The incident began with a verbal squabble between Tsarukyan who criticized the work of the Federation and its leadership and the father of the world boxing champion Nikolay Arutyunov, Vyacheslav Arutyunov, who dared to protect the leadership of the Federation, in particular, its head Deputy Artur Gevorgyan. The verbal dispute turned into fight, but the Tsarukyan's "retinue" quickly suppressed the brave man who was taken to the hospital with various fractures.
