``We are the owners of our deposit!`` Lydian Armenia workers are  protesting in front of government calling to open roads to Amulsar 

ArmInfo.Hundreds of workers of Lydian Armenia jointly with inhabitants of communities adjacent to Amulsar have gathered today in front of the government building calling to open the roads leading to the Amulsar deposit, which have been closed by a group of protesters for more than 10 days already. 

The company's Safety Supervisor Artur Hovsepyan stressed that a well-  financed and task-oriented anti - campaign has been carried out  against the Amulsar project for several years. The goal of this  campaign is to compromise the reputation of Lydian Armenia by raising  environmental and social economic issues. , he added. 

Hovsepyan noted that closing the roads is not only a step against the  economy and investment image of Amenia, but violates the rights of  thousands of citizens, who are currently out of work.  "The current  situation is nothing else than a classic example of unlawfulness>, he  summarized.  Prime Minister's Assistant Nairi Sargsyan met with the  protesters. In a talk to the government's representative Lydian  Armenia CEO Hayk Aloyan noted that today's protest demonstrates the  employees' and inhabitants' intention to assist the government in  eradicating unlawfulness.  He handed over two letters to Prime  Minister of Armenia, one of which contains more than thousand  signatures of the company's employees demanding to protect their  rights. We want the prime minister to be aware and study the issue as  soon as possible>, Aloyan told Sargsyan, who in turn promised to  present to the Prime Minister their request. 

, Aloyan stressed.

He noted that for already 12 years since the launch of activities of  the company directed attempts are being made to affect the company's  rating and reputation. , he added. At the same  time the head of the company stressed that the blockade of the roads  is fraught with negative environmental consequences.

To recall, on July 1 Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted  that the future decisions related to the Amulsar gold mine must be  based on undeniable facts.
