ArmInfo. The "ostrich policy" of some members of the new Government will undermine its image, MP from the Tsarukyan bloc Gevorg Poghosyan stated in the parliament.
"The fact is that the views and statements of some members of the Government changed dramatically after the appointment, they had completely different positions, their appointment radically changed their views on the same issues, and this is fraught with disappointment and decrease of the reputation of the government among the public," - said the MP.
He explained that the matter concerns the compulsory component of funded pension system. "Some members of the Government used to oppose this system, now they support its implementation, I think that the continuation of such a policy will soon undermine the image of the government," the MP concluded.
It should be noted that the Minister of Labor and Social Issues Mane Tandilyan and Minister of Economic Development and Investments Artsvik Minasyan spoke against the compulsory component of funded pension system. Despite this, they were forced to vote for the reform, because they were severely criticized of Prime Minister Pashinyan, who said: "Who is not with us is against us."
The compulsory component of funded pension system will come into force on July 1, this year. It will refer to 280 thousand citizens of RA, from the salaries of which 2.5% will be transferred to the accounts of the special fund, the state, in turn, will transfer 7.5%. Previously, the proportion was 5% to 5%.
