ArmInfo. The authorities of Artsakh have never acted by the order of the Armenian leadership. Ex-State Minister of Artsakh Araik Harutyunyan stated at a press conference today, answering a question about whether the last resignations in the leadership of Artsakh were coordinated with the Armenian authorities.
"Yes, the authorities of Artsakh and Armenia periodically consulted each other on different issues, you know that during the April riots Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan was in Yerevan, he tried to play a constructive role in the current situation, but never that the Armenian authorities and Artsakh has dictated decisions to each other: the Armenian leadership has never interfered in the personnel issues in Artsakh, we have never acted by the order of the Armenian authorities, it was not like that before, so it will not be," Harutyunyan said.
At the same time Harutyunyan admitted that this morning after the statement of his resignation he talked on the phone with Nikol Pashinyan, but did not want to disclose the details of the conversation.
Araik Harutyunyan called for not to draw analogies between the events in Armenia and Artsakh, while acknowledging that the recent processes in Armenia had an impact on public moods in the NKR. "After the events in Armenia, the people of Artsakh also wanted changes: there were always domestic fights in Artsakh, and where they do not exist, but they never became the reason for protest actions." After the events in Armenia, new trends came in Artsakh and the authorities of the republic, realizing this, they made concessions to public moods, carrying out the latest personnel changes, "the ex-state minister summed up.
