ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan proposed an hour earlier to the President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan to dismiss the heads of the Police and National Security Service Vladimir Gasparyan and Georgy Kutoyan.
"I just signed the proposal to the president to dismiss the leaders of the Police and National Security Service Vladimir Gasparyan and Georgy Kutoyan from their posts," Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page. Vladimir Gasparyan was appointed to the post of chief of police on November 1, 2011, and George Kutoyan is working in his post since February 12, 2016.
On the eve of the press conference Pashinyan said that the decision on the appointment of heads of law enforcement agencies will be made within the next few days. "I am considering several options in the issue of appointing heads of law enforcement agencies, and I will make a decision in the coming days," he said.
It should be noted that according to the rumored rumors, Felix Tsolakyan will become the new head of the National Security Service. On May 1, despite the decision of the RPA faction, he voted for Nikol Pashinyan's candidacy. As later reported on his Facebook page, he "voted for a candidate from the people - on conscience".
