ArmInfo.The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly closely observes the situation in Armenia and welcomes an active dialogue between political forces. This is stated in the statement of the OSCE PA Chairman Georgi Tsereteli.
He expressed hope that it will be possible to find a prompt political solution to the current situation, which will allow the government to focus on solving many of the problems that Armenia faces. He called on the political leaders to continue the inter-parliamentary dialogue, and also to work with civil society and the international community to find a satisfactory result, which should be considered within the broader process of developing political culture in the country.
The message emphasizes that Tsereteli held a telephone conversation with Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ara Babloyan, where he expressed support of OSCE PA in the process of dialogue. He also held a telephone conversation with the head of the Armenian delegation to the OSCE PA Hermine Naghdalyan. "My conversations with Armenian parliamentary colleagues confirmed my confidence that the leading political figures in Yerevan are trying to find a constructive solution to the situation, I stressed that all parties should exercise due restraint and continue the path of fruitful dialogue," he said, adding that peaceful assemblies are an important means of expressing opinions.
