"Make a step" rally started in Ijevan: Nikol Pashinyan stated his readiness to meet with Republican Party MPs

On the main square of the city thousands of people gathered.   Speakers on the square Canadian actress of Armenian origin Arsine Khanjyan and MP Sasun Mikaelyan said that only Nikol Pashinyan should lead the Armenian people. "People like Nichol are unique, they are born once in a century. We should have a democratic country in the person of Nikol”, said Sasun Mikaelyan, again urging the authorities to resign.   In turn, Nikol Pashinyan said that the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan is the first, but not sufficient step towards the complete victory of the people over power. "Henceforth, power should not belong to any clan, no oligarch, it must belong to the Armenian people. Every citizen of Armenia should enjoy equal rights, henceforth the page of lawlessness is closed, everyone will equally be accountable to the law, and this, first of all, will concern my immediate environment, "Pashinyan said, urging the authorities to recognize the people's victory.   He also stated that during all his meetings with both President Armen Sarkissian and Catholicos of All Armenians Geregin II he stated that he was ready for a dialogue, but with the condition that the victory of the people should be recognized. Pashinyan stressed that he is ready to discuss the current situation, listen to them, present his position (with a proposal of today RPA deputy Samvel Farmian ed.) On a direct dialogue with all the deputies of the Republican Party faction and other factions. "But, our victory is irreversible. This is the first time that the Turks envy us, because we have made a step towards democracy, which they can not afford, "Pashinyan said. 

At the same time, he stressed that all the deputies, regardless of their political views, all officials can serve the people.

  Pashinyan thanked the Council of Elders of Ijevan, who joined the popular movement, which is supported by 90% of the people. He said he expects a similar step from the mayor of Ijevan, and from other representatives of local authorities. He again urged everyone from April 29 to launch mass protests with a new scope and new strength.   The leader of the opposition movement Nikol Pashinyan comes from Ijevan.
