David Harutyunyan: Monopolization of authorities and underestimation of opposition are the main mistakes of Republican Party

ArmInfo.Monopolization of the authorities and underestimation of the strengthened oppositions became the main mistakes of the Ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Charge d’affairs Justice Minister of Armenia David Harutyunyan stated in the Government during the briefing.

According to him, strong opposition means strong state. At that, Harutyunyan accepted that the situation should be settled only via polticial method, otherwise, the crisis will continue, the nation will come out the streets again and the country will be in collapse “Any non-political methods of the settlement of the issue have threat for the future of the country”, he stated, at that finding it difficult to forecast the ways of the development of situation. According to him, currently political consultations continue in Armenia.

At the same time, Harutyunyan assured that the authorities will never turn to force resolution of the problem, if the acts of activists do not threaten  the life and health of citizens.

“Any peaceful demonstration has the right to be. We do not consider the possibility of suppression of the rallies while they are peaceful”, acting Minister said.
